Special Training: Formation Endorsement

This training qualifies you to fly the aircraft in a formation. This is an exhilarating and challenging program, which increases pilot proficiency.

Requirements to complete Formation Endorsement

  • Must hold a Private Pilot's Licence (PPL) or higher qualification
  • Successfully complete flight training

Training Structure

Flight Training and Theory cover the following:

  • Formation positions
  • Flying the aircraft
  • Changing positions
  • Formation Leadership
  • Formation Hand Signals and Radio Procedures

Training includes:

  • 5 hours - Flight Training
  • 3 hours - Ground Briefings

Aircraft

Piper Tomahawk

The Piper Tomahawk has a proven track record in the field of basic training. It has a side-by-side seating configuration with dual controls, and has excellent visibility. The tomahawk is powered by a piston engine which is horizontally opposed with well proven reliability.

Piper Warrior

The Warrior PA-28 is an ideal and popular touring aircraft the long cross-country navigational exercises. The four seat aircraft has dual controls, is comfortable, stable in flight and has good visibility while turning.
