A New PlaneVH-JCU recently underwent a major refurbishment and overhaul. The exterior was fully repainted after some minor skin maintenance repairs and the interior reconditioned; with new leather seats, seat covers and new interior trim. The cost to the Aero Club was over $50,000 for this, no extra cost will be passed onto hiring members as the refurbishment was structured into the pricing plan for hourly rate of the aircraft. The airframe, engine, panel and avionics suite remains the same reliable setup members and students have come to know over almost 10 years of operation with the Darling Downs Aero Club.
