Sunday Funday | 27 Jan 2019 | Streamer Cutting

Posted on January 27 2019

January's club comp is streamer cutting. For those who have not performed this fun comp, it involves a trip to the training area where the goal is to cut the streamer four times, one of the cuts must be from a turn in the opposite direction. Should you achieve the four cuts in under 100 seconds, you gain one point for each second less than 100. For example, if you achieve four cuts in 90 seconds, you would gain 10 points.

Upon returning to Toowoomba, the flight concludes with a practice glide approach where points are also gained for the point of touchdown. All club members are welcome to attend, including students, as all flights are dual.

This year we will be presenting the comp winner with the inaugural  'Rob Brabrook Memorial Trophy' to be presented at the Annual Pilots Dinner held later in the year.
